At 25 kilometers from Vaison-la-Romaine, the Mont Ventoux, nicknamed the "Giant of Provence" or the "Bald Mountain", draws the landscape and dominates the whole region. Mont Ventoux culminates at 1,910 meters above sea level. From the summit on a clear day, you will get a superb panorama over the whole region: from the Alps to the Mediterranean Sea, passing through the Massif Central, the Cévennes, the Rhône Valley, Avignon , the Camargue, Marseille and many other points of interest.
